Ten for Seven

Okay, so, we didn't live up to the formula of 2n - 1, but we sure came close, and considering that there were 4 girls and only 3 guys, I think I'm proud of the performances of the girls of TCG.

I got there at about the same time Hui Ling arrived. We were contemplating to take a table upstairs or downstairs, but having been around smokers often enough, I knew the smokers would not resist the chance to take a puff at every available opportunities, so we took a table for 10 downstairs. Anticipated about 10 people, but found out later Eugene, Charles and Vig couldn't make it. Then I saw Su Ann confidently walking up the stairs and I thought, someone must have arrived earlier. True enough, Yvonne had already arrived earlier and took the table upstairs for the comfort of the aircond space, but she and Su Ann came down to join Hui Ling and I. Soon after, Carmen came. The two KLCC boys, Harrie and Say Hong arrived about 10 minutes later.

I was given the task of ordering the the dishes... and I ordered about 6 dishes - a fish, one vege, one sweet sour pork, one pai kuat, one taufu and one fried sotong. We thought it was a lot initially, but after like 5 minutes after the dishes arrived, we decided that maybe we need another plate of green vege, and we ordered another one. Half way chomping through the fish (the rest of the dishes were pretty much cleaned out), we decided to order a kung-po "lai lui ha" (forgot what it's called in English), another plate of the sotong and a bowl of soup. Within 30 minutes of ordering the first dish, all food were chowed down. Clean. If Weng and/or Chin Heng is around, I 'm sure we could meet the 2n-1 formula easily.

Overall, it was a satisfying dinner. One thing that is really amazing about Paris (the restaurant, not the city in France), is that the food are served really fast. The food arrives on our table in no more than 5 minutes after we ordered it. This is what I call "FAST FOOD". Bet McD can't even measure up.
